Ingredients

For the Salisbury Steaks

  • 1½ pounds ground beef
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Mushroom Gravy

  • 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, egg, Parmesan cheese, seasonings, salt, and pepper.
  2. Form mixture into 6 oval-shaped patties.
  3. Heat a skillet and brown patties until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. Using the same skillet, add butter and mushrooms. Cook until mushrooms soften.
  5. Add beef broth, heavy cream, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  6. Stir until gravy becomes smooth and creamy.
  7. Return beef patties to the skillet and simmer until heated through and flavors combine.
  8. Serve warm with your favorite Southern sides.
